Description

  JOB SUMMARY:

The Support Staff Supervisor will lead and manage the non-legal staff of the Investigations Division and all Bureaus and Units within.

 

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Manage support staff for the Investigations Division.
  2. Candidates must be highly skilled in standard operating systems and software (Windows, Microsoft Office).
  3. Ability to maintain a strict order of confidentiality and handle issues in a discreet manner
  4. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  5. Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail

 

  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee the Investigation Division's closed cases and warrant file storage and is the point person when Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) need folders from closed files and/or when outside agencies need copies of closed files.
  2. Schedule, assign front desk coverage and delegate tasks to support staff.
  3. Order supplies and maintain the supply room.
  4. Enter data into in-house computer system, including but not limited to: all incoming and outgoing Investigations cases.
  5. Maintain log books reflecting acceptance of transfer cases.
  6. Act as a liaison between the Investigations Division and the Operations Unit.
  7. Act as a liaison between the Investigations Division and DCAS.
  8. Assist ADAs with special projects.
  9. Cover front desk reception when needed.
  10. Draft Affidavit of Service for Statement of Readiness, Parole Letters and other motions
  11. Approve City Time timesheets for Investigations Unit Support Staff.
  12. Maintain Investigations Unit printers, copy machines, fax machines and shredders.
  13. Pick up minutes for Investigations ADAs.
  14. All other duties as assigned.

 

  PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college (preferably in data science, management or criminal justice) and Five (5) years of related experience preferred.
  2. Ability to handle multiple challenging assignments, detailed oriented with superior organizational, analytical, writing and communication skills.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
