JOB SUMMARY:
Facilities Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Director of Operations; this position encompasses project management and coordination of work involving varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility. Responsible for the cleanliness as well as the repairs in the Bronx District Attorney’s buildings. Plan, coordinate work required among the persons, agencies and departments responsible for project completion, review all schedules, reports and orders. Assure conformance with project completion dates; check work performance and prepare status reports for Executive Staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee daily cleaning and inspection of complaint room to ensure that the facility is well maintained at all times.
- Oversee and direct activities to ensure successful completion of all building maintenance for DA areas.
- Participate in inspections of facilities, custodian supply rooms, and garbage areas to insure compliance with requirements, cleanliness, and proper upkeep of the property.
- Act as Liaison to the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative, Services (DCAS).
- Provide reports on maintenance requests and outcome to Operations Executive.
- Candidate must be available via phone 24/7 to respond to facility related exigencies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of construction codes, health and safety regulations, state and local regulations regarding the maintenance of buildings and equipment.
- Have excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate people to their best performance.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate the ability to use computers and smartphones effectively for communication
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A baccalaureate degree in related field preferred
- Must have at least five years of experience in construction and/or property management, with a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- A valid New York State driver’s license with a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience is required and must be maintained for the duration of employment
