Description

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision and with latitude for independent judgment and initiative, the Executive Assistant will provide complex administrative support to the Bronx District Attorney and Executive team members.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, work under pressure, and meet multiple deadlines
  2. Knowledge and effective application of ethical obligations required in day-to-day responsibilities
  3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  4. Strong collaborative and planning skills
  5. Coordinate events with NYC government entities
  6. Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  7. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and other citywide systems

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Work closely and collaborate with the Bronx District Attorney and the executive team on confidential and sensitive administrative matters
  2. Manage and organize the Bronx District Attorney’s calendar with internal and external meeting/events requests
  3. Manage travel process/plans for the Bronx District Attorney and attending staff
  4. Create documents and reports as requested
  5. Ensure all correspondence/communications are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  6. Assist the Bronx District Attorney with meetings including those outside the office
  7. Special projects and all other duties as assigned

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A baccalaureate degree preferred and 3 years of relevant administrative experience or an Associate Degree and 5 years relevant administrative experience
  2. Prior administrative support experience
  3. Strong familiarity with New York City agencies, community stakeholders, and governmental functions
  4. Ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced professional environment
  5. Familiarity with general court/judicial services and functionalities
  6. Excellent customer service skills
