JOB SUMMARY:
The Bronx District Attorney is responsible for prosecuting all crimes in the Bronx. We are currently seeking experienced attorneys for the position of Assistant District Attorney. ADA's are required to abide by a commitment of three years of initial service to the Office of the District Attorney. Assistant District Attorneys are routinely required to perform evening, night, weekend and holiday assignments and to respond, on a 24 - hour basis, to crime scenes, police precincts and booking facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Bureau’s supervisors specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Prosecute criminal cases in Bronx County including misdemeanors and felonies from intake through final disposition

Evaluate cases to determine appropriate action

Implement Office policies as directed

Investigate cases

Respond clearly and effectively (oral/written) to complex legal issues

Handle a high-volume of cases efficiently and effectively
- A Juris Doctorate degree
- US Citizenship and New York State Residency are required
- Member in good standing of the NY State Bar. You must provide an original current certificate of good standing
- Minimum three years of experience in criminal prosecution
- Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics
- Ability to analytically solve issues or problems from inception through conclusion
- Exhibit an ability to maintain confidentiality of information
