Description

 JOB SUMMARY:

 The Arraignments Unit is in operation twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week and support staff will be  required to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Under supervision, assigned to the Arraignments Unit, the Case Aide will perform time sensitive case preparation functions.

 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Strong ability to multi-task various assignments at one time
  2. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  3. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to organize information in a concise manner.

 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Notify police officers of court dates using the CACS computer system.
  2. Coordinate the production of the ADA’s Confidential Files with the appropriate affidavits and related documents.
  3. Separate folders by bureau and scan arraigned ADA folders into those bureaus.
  4. Complete and Check witness notification forms for information and accuracy including CACS information.
  5. Scan and attach Temporary Orders of Protection, as well as keep a log of all TOPs
  6. All candidates will be trained on the Courtroom functions.
  7. All other duties as assigned

 

 PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. An Associate’s degree preferred or a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two (2) years working experience in a law firm, governmental agency, civic or community organization
  2. Familiarity with general court services and functions preferred

 

**Due to the necessary service needs of this position, the selected candidates will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. This position is a scheduled night time position (All training will be done in the morning initially.)
