JOB SUMMARY
The Bronx District Attorney is responsible for prosecuting all crimes in the Bronx. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of entry level Assistant District Attorney commencing in the Fall of 2018. Assistant District Attorneys are given considerable responsibility early in their careers.  When they become proficient, they will begin to handle serious and complex cases. New ADAs are required to abide by a commitment of three years of initial service to the Office of the District Attorney. Assistant District Attorneys are routinely required to perform evening, night, weekend and holiday assignments and to respond, on a 24 - hour basis, to crime scenes, police precincts and booking facilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    A Juris Doctorate degree
2.    US Citizenship and New York State Residency are required
3.    Non-admitted candidates must sit for the first exams available immediately after graduation from law school or sooner
            This includes the MPRE, NYLE and UBE exams
4.    Admitted candidates must be members in good standing of the New York State Bar and provide proof thereof through an original certificate
5.    Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics
6.    Ability to analytically solve issues or problems from inception through conclusion
7.    Exhibit an ability to maintain confidentiality of information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Demonstrated interest in public service through internships or prior work experience
2.    Prosecution or litigation clinic experience
3.    Moot Court
4.    GPA of 3.0 or higher
